Embark on an excursion to the stunning Shymbulak Ski Resort, nestled in the picturesque Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains at 2,260 meters above sea level. Located just 25 km from central Almaty, this resort is a haven for adventure enthusiasts. With an average summer temperature of +25°C and -7°C in winter, Shymbulak boasts around 1.5M of annual snowfall and approximately 90 sunny days a year. The ski season typically runs from December to April.
The resort is accessible via Gondola cars from Medeu, spanning 4.5 km, making it the third-longest Gondola ride in the world. The gondolas feature 114 comfortable cabins, accommodating up to 2,000 visitors per hour. With six lifts, you can ascend to Talgar Pass at 3,180 meters, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped slopes and lush Tien Shan mountains. The resort also offers a variety of dining options, including restaurants, cafés, and coffee shops, ensuring something for every palate.
